How to share an entry
Penzu lets you share an individual entry by private email or by public link. Both options give the recipient read-only access. Penzu does not offer full-journal sharing or collaborative editing.
On the full website, open the saved entry's three-dot menu and select Share.... In iOS or Android, open the entry's Share control. Sharing is available on all three platforms for every plan.
Share by private email
Private email sharing places a read-only snapshot of the entry in each recipient's default Penzu journal. You can enter multiple recipients. On the full website, separate addresses with commas; on Android, follow the space-separated instruction in the recipient field.
The address you enter must exactly match the email address on the recipient's Penzu account. If the recipient does not have a Penzu account yet, they can sign up with that same email address to receive the shared entry.
An email-shared entry is a snapshot. If you edit the original later, the recipient's copy does not update. An email share cannot be removed after it has been created.
If a recipient has turned off Allow others to share entries with you, a new email share to that address is not created. Changing this preference affects future shares and does not remove entries already received.
You can share one entry by email up to 50 times.
Share by public link
A public link can be opened without a Penzu account. It is a read-only view of the original entry, so later saved changes appear when someone opens the same link again.
On the full website, choose Share via Public Link and then Generate Public Link. Use Disable Link when you no longer want the link to work. The iOS and Android apps provide the same public-link sharing behavior through their entry Share controls.
Basic accounts can create public links for up to 25 entries in a journal.
