What happens when I downgrade from Penzu PRO or PRO+ to Penzu Basic?
Downgrading to Penzu Basic changes the account immediately. If you only want to prevent the next renewal while keeping your paid features until the current expiration date, turn off automatic renewal instead.
Before downgrading, unlock every journal that uses Encryption Locking and make sure you can access the entries you want to keep.
Encryption-locked journals are deleted during a downgrade to Basic and cannot be recovered.
When the downgrade completes:
entries from journals without Encryption Locking are merged into one journal because Penzu Basic supports one journal;
the remaining journal changes to a Basic cover and default font;
paid Page Themes and Pad Themes are removed;
tags, Starred Entries, Trash, Versions, and other paid features are no longer available.
Text that you formatted directly with a paid font may still appear in that font, although the font can no longer be selected. The journal's default font changes to a Basic font.
Entries in additional journals without Encryption Locking are moved into the remaining journal, not deleted. Journals that are still protected with Encryption Locking are the important exception.
