How Writing Streaks work

A Writing Streak counts consecutive days when you create at least one new entry in Penzu. The days are based on the timezone in your Penzu account.

Opening or editing an existing entry does not add a day to the streak.

Writing Streaks are calculated automatically across your Penzu account, rather than separately for each journal. There is no setting to start, pause, edit, or reset a streak.

Penzu may send streak started and streak in progress emails. Use the unsubscribe option in one of those messages if you do not want to receive Writing Streak emails. Unsubscribing from the emails does not reset or turn off the automatic streak calculation.
