Recover unsynced iOS entries with Export Entries
Use this recovery process when entries are still visible in the Penzu iOS app but do not appear on the full Penzu website.
Before you begin, do not sign out, reinstall the app, or use Wipe Local Storage. Those actions can remove entries that exist only on your device.
In the affected journal, open Journal Settings and select Export Entries.
The iOS app creates an email with a .txt attachment. Send it to the current Penzu Post address shown at the top of that journal's Settings. Keep the subject exactly {iOS Journal Export}.
Penzu recreates the exported sections as separate entries with their original titles and dates.
Open the full Penzu website on a laptop or desktop and confirm that every expected entry is present.
Only after that website check should you use Wipe Local Storage or reinstall the app to establish a fresh sync.
The iOS export is a text file and does not include photos. Before resetting the app, make sure any important images also exist in the device photo library or another independent copy.
The export file must be no larger than 10 MB. If the journal is deleted or protected with Encryption Locking, the recovered entries may appear in Unclaimed Entries.
If the journal has no Penzu Post address, the entries do not appear on the website, or anything is missing, keep both the app data and .txt attachment and contact Penzu Support before resetting the app.
