What does Wipe Local Storage mean in the mobile app?

Wipe Local Storage removes Penzu data stored locally on your device and logs you out of the app. It does not delete entries that have already synced to Penzu's servers.

After you log back in, the app starts a fresh sync and downloads the entries stored on your Penzu account.

Before using Wipe Local Storage

Only use Wipe Local Storage if you are confident your entries have synced.

Do not use it if you have unsynced entries on your device. Unsynced entries may exist only on that device, and wiping local storage could remove them.

When it may help

Wipe Local Storage may help when:

  1. The website shows your journals and entries correctly.

  2. The mobile app is not displaying journals or entries correctly.

  3. You are logging in with a different email address on the device.

  4. Support has asked you to refresh the app's local data.

If you are unsure whether your entries are synced, contact support before using Wipe Local Storage.
